Vice President Leni Robredo expressed her dismayed over the deportation of Sister Patricia Fox.

During her radio show, Robredo said she was saddened that Fox have to leave because she thinks the latter was more Filipinos than other fellowmen.

The Australian nun worked for 27 years in the country fighting for justice for the farmers, laborers, and urban poor.

Robredo was disappointed that because of politics and for voicing out her thoughts, Fox have to leave the country.

Ayusin namin. Hindi namin dapat parang kine-claim na personal itong karapatan,” she added.

Meanwhile, Robredo was optimistic that Fox will eventually return to the Philippines in helping again he Filipinos.

Parating sa huli, kabutihan iyong mananaig,” she said.

Just this year, Fox was arrested briefly on charges of violating her visa’s terms against activism in the Philippines. Immigration authorities last week refused to extend her tourist visa and ordered the 71-year-old out by Saturday.
