In continuing violence towards Indigenous People (IP), Lumad leaders will sue communist Party of the Philippines – New People’s Army (CPP-NPA) for murdering, raping, and exploiting the IPs.
Over a long period of years, Indigenous People are still experiencing horrible fate against the terrorists NPA.
On Tuesday, a total of 120 tribal chieftains from Mindanao traveled to Manila to file cases against CPP-NPA.
The Group condemned and accused NPA members for teaching young IPs in false ideals and curriculum at schools.
In the interview of Lipatuan Joel Unad, the Chairman of the Mindanao Indigenous People Conference for Peace and Development, he said since 1980s the NPA slaughtered over 1,000 tribal leaders.
Unad said.
“Ang UP iyon pala ang institution for the indigenous people para sa lahat sana.

Unad also reacted for accusing them as fake tribal leaders in social media. He clarified that the alleged mass protest against the government were the works of the leftists and not their group.
Likewise, in separate interview of Datu Ramon Bataan, a tribal leader in North Cotabato also slammed NPA for making their life more miserable.
Meanwhile, Unad asked Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) to help them protect their ancestral domain defense system so that economic development will also come their way such as proper education.
